NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

General Notice

WESTSIDE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

TRACK RESURFACING

(WESTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL)

Bids for the construction of the Project will be receive at the office of LAMP RYNEARSON (ENGINEER), 14710 WEST DODGE ROAD, SUITE 100, OMAHA, NEBRASKA, until FEBRUARY 8, 2023, at 4:30 P.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Bidding Documents are available online for viewing or download purchase. Go to www.LampRynearson.com and select QUESTCDN at the bottom of page or contact www.questcdn.com and use the Project Search page. Plan sets can be downloaded and saved for $25.00 at either site utilizing eBidDoc™#8371553. Contact QuestCDN at 952-233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance if needed.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

LAMP RYNEARSON

OMAHA, NEBRASKA 68154

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A paper set of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Engineer upon pre-payment by cash, check, or using prepaid account with Engineer of $50.00 if picked up and $60.00 if mailed (both non-refundable). Contractor must give 24-hour notice to Engineer when picking up paper sets. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from other sources.

Bid Security

The Bid Security shall be in a separate sealed envelope attached to the Proposal envelope and shall be marked “BID SECURITY FOR TRACK RESURFACING” with the bidder’s name and address on said envelope. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or Bid Bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) in the amount of FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF BASE BID AMOUNT and shall be payable without condition to WESTSIDE PUBLIC SCHOOLS as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will execute the Agreement and provide an acceptable Contract Bond from an approved surety in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price.

Payment Procedures

The Owner will issue payment to the Contractor in the amount of 90% of the contracted value of the completed work as of the end of the preceding month, as recommended by the Engineer. Payment for the balanced retained will be issued by the Owner upon completion of the work and approval thereof by the Owner’s Engineer, city or other governmental agency approval when necessary, and acceptance by the Owner.

NOTICE OF MEETING

Notice is hereby given of a Board of Education Meeting for the Westside Community School District 66, Douglas County, in the State of Nebraska, to be held February 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office, 909 S. 76th St., Omaha, NE. The Board of Education Student Advisory Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m., immediately prior to the Board Meeting. The agendas, continually kept current, are available at the District Office. The meetings are open to the public.
