Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on June 8, 2021 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

ORDINANCE NO. 42565

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southwest of 207th and Q Streets from MU-Mixed Use District to R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1 through 180, and Outlots A through W, The Rows at Coventry, a cluster subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from MU-Mixed Use District to R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

ORDINANCE NO. 42566

AN ORDINANCE to approve a PUD-Planned Unit Development Overlay District in an R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District, located southwest of 207th and Q Streets, to approve the Development Plan, and to provide for an effective date.

Summary:  In accordance with Sections 55-584 through 55-594 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a PUD-Planned Unit Development Overlay District and the Development Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, for the following described land in Douglas County, Nebraska: Lots 1 through 180, and Outlots A through W, The Rows at Coventry, a cluster subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

ORDINANCE NO. 42560

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 2303 and 2307 South 20th Street from GC-General Commercial District to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

Summary:  The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: The south half of the north half of Lot 4, Block 12, Improvement Association Addition, and Lot 1, Improvement Association Addition Replat 4, subdivisions, as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from GC-General Commercial District to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 42561

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 5715 M Street from DR-Development Reserve District to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

Summary:  The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 16 and 17, Block 8, Weir Crest, a subdivision, as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from DR-Development Reserve to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 42562

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 9004 Fort Street; and to provide for an effective date.

Summary:  In accordance with Sections 55-681 through 55-688 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lot 1, 90th and Fort Place, a subdivision surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

Summary:  The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: LANDS SEC-TWN-RGE 17-15-12 -EX RD- IR 5.571 AC TRACT TL 2 S & E OF NEW 108 ST SE 1/4 SE 1/4 Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned from CC-Community Commercial District to R8-High-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the ACI-3-Area of Civic Importance Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 655 North 108th Avenue; and to provide an effective date.

Summary:  In accordance with Sections 55-609 through 55-617 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: LANDS SEC-TWN-RGE 17-15-12 -EX RD- IR 5.571 AC TRACT TL 2 S & E OF NEW 108 ST SE 1/4 SE 1/4, Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the ACI-3-Area of Civic Importance Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

ORDINANCE NO. 42567

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to FCC Environmental Services Nebraska LLC, for a price agreement for rubbish container service at various Street Maintenance facilities to be effective through December 31, 2021 with three, 1-year extensions at the sole option of the City; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 42568

AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and OVO DEV, LLC a Nebraska limited liability company, to implement the Clove Apartments Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 7837 Dodge Street and 8004 Farnam Drive, which proposes the construction of a 5-story apartment building consisting of approximately 175 market-rate apartments with approximately 169 parking stalls inside the structure. An additional 12 angled on-street parking stalls will be developed along Farnam Drive and another 9 surface stalls will be located on the project site; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $4,456,500.00, plus accrued interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project, and providing for an effective date.

ORDINANCE NO. 42569

AN ORDINANCE to amend the award period of Ordinance number 41669 passed December 11, 2018 accepting and authorizing disbursement from the FY 2018 State Homeland Security Grant (SHSG) Award #EMW-2018-SS-00037-S01 from the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in the amount of eight hundred and forty-three thousand and fifty-eight dollars ($843,058) with an amended project period of September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2022, to provide first responder and emergency management agencies in Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties with enhanced capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from manmade threats and natural disasters; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, providing for the effective date hereof.

Section 49-1723: Approval to install SDR 26 PVC grease waste sewer in lieu of cast iron routed around exterior of 10730 Pacific St.

Section 49-218: Request to approve continued education instructors.

Section 49-252: Request for renewal of approved apprenticeship program curriculum.

DISCUSSION:
