“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. at the Charles B. Washington Branch Library, located at 2868 Ames Avenue. Proposed agenda kept continually current is available in the Administrative Office at the W. Dale Clark Library.  The Board reserves the right to modify the agenda at said public meeting when convened.  Requests for sign language interpreters or other alternative formats will require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice.  Please contact the Administrative Office at (402) 444-4834 if arrangements need to be made.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC

The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Room, LC-1, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of dis-cussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska.  Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on December 17, 2019, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance to accept the bid from Chopper’s Lawn Service for grounds maintenance mowing of right-of-ways identified as Area 1, being from 90th Street east to the Missouri River and from Cuming Street north to the City Limits and Area 3, being from 90th Street west to 168th Street and from Dodge Street north to the City Limits in the amount of $186,645.60 per year, for a two year period ending November 30, 2021; providing for the payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956 as amended; to authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order

An ordinance to approve a price agreement of an estimated annual cost of $30,000.00 effective from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, with three (3) optional one-year extensions, for Public Works’ Street Maintenance Division uniforms based on actual services rendered and product provided; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year; to provide for payments from specific accounts

An ordinance approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) in the amount of $106,372.00 to provide for the terms and conditions under which Omaha and MAPA will participate in a project to obtain regional digital map products; involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to authorize the Finance Department to pay cost share to MAPA not to exceed $106,372.00 according to the disbursement terms contained within the Agreement

An ordinance to amend Section 23-177 of the Omaha Municipal Code by changing the title of the class specification entitled Visitor Services Manager to Director of Visitor Services; by changing the title of the class specification entitled Assistant Visitor Services Manager to Visitor Services Manager; to repeal Section 23-177 as heretofore existing

An ordinance to amend Section 23-177 of the Omaha Municipal Code concerning employment classifications by changing the salary range of the employment classification entitled Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Manager by moving it from 18 AEC ($69,222-$81,869) to 22 AEC ($79,830-$95,534); to repeal Section 23-177 as heretofore existing

An ordinance to approve the execution of a Sublease Acknowledgement and Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Omaha Performing Arts Society, for a parking lease to the Park Eight parking garage

An ordinance providing for an amendment to the levy of a general business occupation tax as re-quested by the property owner(s) of the Capitol District; and related matters

An ordinance to adopt the amended and restated Park Covenants of the Heartland of America Park

An ordinance to approve an Interlocal Agreement for an initial term of five years with Douglas County for the operation of the joint 911 Emergency Communication System; to provide for the payments called for in said Agreement from a specific account
