REGULAR MEETING

SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 54

RALSTON, NE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Education, of the School District No. 54, in the county of Douglas, in the State of Nebraska, will hold a Student Fees Hearing at 5:45 p.m., followed by the regular board meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Virginia Moon Administrative Building which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for the regular meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Superintendent at 8545 Park Dr., Ralston, Nebraska.

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

On Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 12:30 pm, a meeting conducted by Ralston Public Schools will take place at the Ralston Public School Administration Building at 8545 Park Drive, Ralston, Nebraska. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents who have parentally placed their child in an approved and/or accredited nonpublic school or exempt home school and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend an approved and/or accredited nonpublic schools and exempt home schools which are within the Ralston Public School District for the 2025-2026 school year.  Parents of a home schooled child or a child attending a nonpublic school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attend an approved and/or accredited nonpublic school within the boundaries of Ralston Public Schools,  are urged to attend.  If you have further questions pertaining to this meeting, please contact Melissa Stolley at 402-331-4700.

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

According to the special education law in the State of Nebraska, the special education files of a student who received special education can be destroyed five (5) years after the last date of service.

If you or your son or daughter’s files fall into this category, the Ralston School District wishes your permission to destroy the special education files.  Certain data such as name, grade, disability and last date of verification and service must be kept in a locked confidential place.  All other information can be shredded.

If the district does not hear from you within the next fourteen (14) days, we will assume that you give your permission for the district to destroy the files.
