A new TikTok trend called “underconsumption core” is gaining traction online. This trend champions minimalism and frugality, and encourages people to maximize the utility of their purchases and buy only what they truly need, challenging the culture of consumerism.

The Improbable Return Of ‘The Beer That Made Omaha Jealous’

In a time before Prohibition, tiny Wilber, Nebraska, produced something nearby metropolis Omaha envied. Today, more than a century later, Wilber is trying to make Omaha jealous again.

In its heyday, the Wilber Brewing Company produced 40,000 barrels of beer per year, and almost all of it was consumed by residents of the small town located 40 miles southwest of Lincoln, and nearby communities.

For a man who keeps saying the government spends too much money, Governor Pillen is sure to spend a lot of it on this special session.  A special session that will have our State Senators spinning their wheels and wasting their time. 

The governor held a press conference where he said that his plan will receive bi partisan support in the Unicameral without a “shadow of a doubt.”

Attorneys general in nearly 25 states, including Nebraska’s Mike Hilgers, have sent an emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court asking it to immediately halt a Biden administration rule that they say threatens to shutter the country’s remaining fleet of coal-fired power plants.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hollywood's video game performers announced they would go on strike Thursday, throwing part of the entertainment industry into another work stoppage after talks for a new contract with major game studios broke down over artificial intelligence protections.

DALLAS (AP) — Goodbye, cattle call.

Southwest Airlines said Thursday that it plans to drop the open-boarding system it has used for more than 50 years and will start assigning passengers to seats, just like all the other big airlines.
