“Notice of Public Meeting of the Douglas County Board of Equalization,

the Douglas County Board of Corrections,

and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners”

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, the Douglas County Board of Equalization, the Douglas County Board of Corrections, and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will meet consecutively beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The meetings will be held at the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam, Legislative Chamber, Omaha, NE.  The meetings will be open to the general public.

A list of applications from organizations seeking tax exemption, descriptions of the property, and recommendations of the Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds, to be heard by the Douglas County Board of Equalization on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, are available in the Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds office.

The meeting agendas, kept continually current, are readily available for public inspection in the Commissioners’ Office in the Civic Center during normal business hours.  Also available for public inspection will be any corresponding documentation that is provided to the Commissioners’ Office prior to the weekly County Board meeting.  Except for items of an emergency nature, the agendas shall not be enlarged later than 24 hours before the scheduled meeting commencement.  The Board has the right to modify its agenda to include items of an emergency nature only when the meeting is in session.

Committee meetings scheduled for the month will be listed on the County's website at www.douglascounty-ne.gov and on the County Board Agenda.

PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that the Omaha Douglas Public Building Commission will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020, for Low Voltage Rack Emergency Power and Wireless Access Upgrade to Communications Rooms in the Douglas County Courthouse, 1701 Farnam, Omaha, Nebraska 68183.

Electronic copies of specifications and plans may be obtained on-line at any of the plan houses or by emailing lori.ludeking@odpbc.org or mary.hudson@odpbc.org. There will be a mandatory walkthrough and prebid meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. beginning in the Administrator’s Office, Room 1205, Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183.  To reach the 12th floor of the Civic Center, take any Civic Center elevator to the 11th floor and the steps up to 12 or have the security guard at the Kiosk on Farnam Level of the Civic Center call the one elevator that goes to the 12th floor. It will be necessary for any and all perspective bidders to pre-register for the prebid so that we can properly reserve meeting room space to meet CDC Guidelines for social distancing.  Face Masks will be required for those attending the prebid and the mandatory walk-thru.  Please call 402-444-5345 to pre-register for the prebid meeting. Provide names of all individuals attending the prebid and the company they are representing.  We could appreciate everyone registering NLT 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020. 

The Omaha Douglas Public Building Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Bids will be publicly opened on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in room 1205  and the bid will be awarded at the next scheduled meeting of the Omaha Douglas Public Building Commission, which is currently scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. 

Please use a sealed envelope in bidding and mark same ‘Building Commission Low Voltage Rack Emergency Power and Wireless Access Upgrade Project’ for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28th, 2020.
