PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
46 AND DODGE
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on July 16, 2019, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
 
The 46 and Dodge Redevelopment Project Plan.
 
The redevelopment project site includes nine parcels, totaling about 1.4 acres in size. The site is presently occupied by three single family dwellings and five aging, obsolete commercial structures. The redevelopment project plan proposes demolition of existing structures and new construction of an approximately 315,750 square feet, eight story structure for 278 market-rate apartment units and 295 parking stalls. The first three levels will be structured parking and the upper five floors a mix of studio, one and two bedroom units.
 
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the June 5, 2019 public hearing. 
 
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $6,500,000.00 plus accrued interest. TIF will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, site work, construction of engineered foundations, architectural and engineering costs, technical studies and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $52,747,222.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
 
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office.
