REQUEST FOR PROFESSIONAL

ENGINEERING SERVICES

 

The City of Omaha Public Works Department is seeking consultant services to evaluate and develop a real time controls strategy for the northeast Omaha combined sewer gravity collection system.  Additionally, the project includes evaluation, design and construction of Minne Lusa Relief Sewer Diversion Modifications and the CSO 105 Outfall Active Control project.

Interested firms may request a detailed scope of work by emailing their requests to ae.selection@cityofomaha.org  or by writing to the Public Works Department, Attention:  Sylvia, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183 prior to December 13, 2023.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS

 

Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing date/time, 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.  Bidding documents may be found on the new Douglas County Ionwave electronic bidding website: douglascountypurchasing.ionwave.net

Electronic bid submission:  The City of Omaha requires all bidders to submit their bids electronically.  Each respondent is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure their submission is received and complete by the listed closing date and time.  The City/County is not responsible for technical difficulties and will not allow late submissions due to the same.

Bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk on the closing date/time before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC 4, Omaha Douglas Civic Center.

As evidence of good faith and guarantee that a contract will be entered into should an award be made thereon, a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany the bid.  Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.

The City of Omaha reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS

 

Sealed bids for the construction of the City of Omaha “Y” Street Public Improvements, “Y” Street from S. 32nd Street to S. 33rd Avenue are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, as per the project’s specifications.

Bids shall be submitted on the electronic forms provided by the Douglas County Purchasing Department.  Electronic bid forms can be found on the new Douglas County Purchasing (Ionwave) website at https://douglascountypurchasing.ionwave.net/Login.aspx.  Bidders must complete all required fields.  Bids must be electronically filed on or before 11:00 A.M. on the Bid Closing Date listed above, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M.  The meeting will be held on site at 32nd & “Y” Street.

As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid.  The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”.  Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.  City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council.
