PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on October 7, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
Res. that, the Preliminary Plat entitled Walnut Hill Replat 10, a subdivision inside city limits, with approval of a waiver to Section 53-8(4)(a), Lot Depth, located at 1116 and 1120 North 40th Street, along with the conditions, is hereby accepted; and, the preparation of the final plat of this subdivision is hereby authorized.
An ordinance to rezone property located northeast of 180th Street and Military Road from AG-Agricultural District to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).
Res. that, the Final Plat transmitted herewith entitled Military 180 Crossing (Lot 1 and Outlot A), a subdivision outside city limits, is hereby approved, and concurrently a portion of the existing plat entitled Part of the Southwest ¼ of Section 16, Township 16 North, Range 11 East of the 6th P.M., and described on said replat, are hereby vacated.
Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement between the City of Omaha and Douglas County School District No. 59, aka Bennington Public Schools, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Military 180 Crossing (Lot 1 and Outlot A) and is located northeast of 180th Street and Military Road.
An ordinance to rezone property located at 2205 North 88th Street from R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low-Density) and GI-General Industrial District to GI-General Industrial District.
An ordinance to approve an Amendment to the Future Land Use Element of the City’s Master Plan from Low Density Residential, Industrial and Open Space to Industrial and Open Space for the property located at 2205 North 88th Street.

The City of Omaha, acting as Agent for the owner, invites bids for the LEAD HAZARD CONTROL OF DWELLING UNIT at:

3:00 P.M., October 1, 2025
Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing time, as per specifications on file in the office of Rehab Division of the Planning Department, Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Rehabilitation Division, Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center marked “Bid on LEAD HAZARD CONTROL OF DWELLING UNIT,” with the address and job number identified, must be on file in this office on or before 3:00 P.M. on the closing date, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the Rehab Division before bidders and the public in Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the rehabilitation work. The contractor must, furthermore, ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin.
The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with the Rehab Division evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate arising out of the work performed by the contractor. Evidence of workman’s compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
The owner reserves the right to accept, reject, or negotiate any or all bids in whole or in part.
